Professional content writers and SEO specialists need multiple metrics to evaluate their work. Word count alone does not tell the full story — you also need to know how readable your content is, how long it will take to read, which keywords are most prominent, and whether your sentence structure is optimised. This Advanced Text Analyzer delivers all these metrics simultaneously as you type, with no need to submit your text to any server.
Words and characters are counted by detecting whitespace-separated tokens and individual characters respectively. Sentences are counted by full stops, exclamation marks, and question marks. Reading time is calculated at 200 words per minute — the average adult silent reading speed. Paragraphs are detected by blank lines. The Flesch Reading Ease score uses the formula: 206.835 – (1.015 × ASL) – (84.6 × ASW), where ASL is average sentence length and ASW is average syllables per word.
Google's search quality raters evaluate content readability as part of content quality assessment. For general web audiences, target a Flesch Reading Ease score of 60–70. Health content should target 60–75 to be accessible to the widest audience. Academic and technical content may score 30–50. The analyzer also shows grade level — most web content should target Grade 8 or below for maximum accessibility.
The keyword density section shows the top 10 most-used meaningful words in your content (excluding common stop words). Ideal keyword density for your primary target keyword is 1–2%. Above 3–4% risks being flagged as keyword stuffing. Use this section to ensure your main topic keywords appear naturally and with appropriate frequency throughout your content.
